Whanga Bar Hop Idol Heats from 7pm


 Castrol are the naming rights sponsor for the Castrol Cruise from Whangamata to Onemanu and then the beach party which is held after at Onemanu reserve on Friday 26th March as part of the beach hop weekend.
 All 650 cars that are registered to participate in the cruise end up at the beach reserve and are pre 1970 and this makes for a great display of cars at the beach.  Normally there ends up being about 1000 cars and upwards of 3000 people at the reserve.
 
 
As part of our display we have a 1947 Ford Jailbar that had a former life as a delivery vehicle so the plan is to pop a paddling pool in the back of this fill it with ice and get the water cold that way and then sell it from our stand.
