Truck Convoy 2009 Information.

KIC would like to thank all the staff at National Road Carriers and the CVIU for the extensive support and advertising they have given to us in regards to the truck convoy. 

Assembly Points.

NORTH – HEADING SOUTH TO PUKEKOHE

Assembly Time: 7.00am
Departure time: 8.00am

SOUTH – HEADING NORTH TO PUKEKOHE

Assembly Location: MERCER TRUCK STOP

Assembly Time: 7.00am
Departure time: 8.00am

A member of KIC and the NZ Lions or the CVIU will be present at both these start points from approximately 7.00 am on Sunday morning.

For all the truck drivers that have pre-registered for track rides, you will need to make yourself known to either the KIC volunteers, or a member of the CVIU at either the Wiri or Mercer meeting points.

This is particularly important for those trucks that are taking part in the track rides – we will try and marshal you so that you are at the front of the convoy – this will make things easier at the track to sort you all out.

I have attached a copy of the map of the planned route and when you arrive at the track, we would ask to please follow all instructions from the marshal’s.

All vehicles that have PAID for either the rides or the show’n’shine will be issued with a KIC identification windscreen sticker, please DISPLAY THIS ON THE DRIVERS SIDE OF YOUR WINDSCREEN, all paid vehicles will be taken directly onto the track – to be held at the hairpin. For all others that haven’t paid prior to arrival at Pukekohe, please DO NOT attempt to pay at the gate, as this will only cause a traffic jam, you will be directed and held in the registration pen until you have paid, NO UNPAID VEHICLES WILL BE PERMITTED ENTRY ONTO THE TRACK.
